YES.Is it normal for a rooster to crow at night in the coop?
X2, mine starts at 4, but still. Luckily I’m a heavy sleeper! LolYES.
One of mine starts about 3 am.
Another will make noise about 11 pm, then stop.
I am NOT a morning person. They don't care.
Ain't that the truthYep, I don't have a rooster but I absolutely hear other peoples roosters off in the distance at 3am. Rooster going to do as they do
Same! I don't know how my neighbor stands the sound of his rooster crowing in the middle of the night.Yep, I don't have a rooster but I absolutely hear other peoples roosters off in the distance at 3am. Rooster going to do as they do
I have a heat lamp because of cold weather (lows at 17) could that be part of it.If light shines into the coop, say from traffic, yeah, that will set them off. I had one (Elvis, lol) that crowed around the clock pretty much. Me, I happened to love it and we have no near neighbors. I miss the old boy.
Lol. To me, a rooster crowing IS one of the "sounds of nature." But I take your point.Same! I don't know how my neighbor stands the sound of his rooster crowing in the middle of the night.I prefer that my animals not interfere with the sounds of nature so I don't keep a roo.
Yeah, I thought that too when I typed it. I didn't know how else to say it.Lol. To me, a rooster crowing IS one of the "sounds of nature." But I take your point.
