Dumber Than A Fence Post

If you can only order in multiples of 25 chicks

and

The maximum number of that breed is 15 (for any one hatch)

and

Hatch dates for other breeds (that you might want) are not at the same time

and

The maximum number is 5 for that breed

How in the heck can you come up with 25?

I have my socks off and still can't finger it out

Are you talking about Sandhill Preservation? I think what people generally do is nominate multiple possible alternatives to supplement the main breed they want. Like, you could say "I want 15 light sussex, and then I will take an additional 10 of white rocks, ameraucanas, bantam frizzle silver-laced longtails or one-eyed-one-horned-flying-purple-people-eaters, whatever's handy." Not all combinations of numbers-breeds are going to be possible.
