Dumor feed TSC

I don't buy it; one bag, years ago, and not impressed. Cheap, sure, and there's a reason IMO.
I spend more on Flock Raiser, and like it a lot better. Good food pays off!
And chicken feed is cheap anyway.

Not a fan and neither are any chickens that I have had since TSC came into our area several years ago.
This is the first time I've seen it like this but I refuse to buy it now. I'm switching to Purina. I've also noticed the quality of the flake bedding go down. Less big pieces and more fine. Maybe I should complain to the company? 🤔

Has anyone else seen this feed go down in quality recently? We bought a bag and it was mostly dust and there were bits of unground up corn in it!
Yes! me.
And my girls won't really eat it. So, I took it back.
Then, I joined the Purina challenge on line. I received $3.00 coupons from Purina. My girls LOVE IT! Their feathers look nice and healthy and they look very nice and healthy too.

Our local feed store has weird hours and is drive up only now. It makes it really inconvenient for us. The flake shavings at TSC are fine shavings but it is all we could get short of driving 2 towns over. Ended up buying Naturewise.

I'm switching to Purina.
Ironically DuMOR is made by Purina.
I've occasionally gotten bad bags of Purina, most recently was more than a year ago.
I still like and buy Purina. I'm currently finishing up a bag of Medicated Start and Grow by Purina.
I think you can get a bad bag of feed from any company, but if it's bag after bag, I would switch.
Ended up buying Naturewise.
I'm currently feeding my hens a Non-Medicated Starter-Grower by Nutrena.
It's a $1 cheaper than Flock Raiser, which I will buy if it's on sale or the Nutrena's not fresh or available. GC

Theres only two brands that TSC seems to sell: Dumor or Naturewise. I have to drive 2 towns over for purina or nutrena. Not sure what our local feed store carries but its just as difficult to buy there because you cant go in and browse and the hours. They're only open til noon on saturdays and closed on sundays. So on the weekends its either TSC or the Stock n Field which is further

Purina may sure make Dumor for TC but, not all ingredients are made equal. Just like Target, Great Value ect. A major manufacturer makes it for them to put their own label on it. But, I'm no expert and I believe ingredients used are not equal.
My girls stopped eating Dumors layer feed and Dumors Scratch. But, they devoured the Purina layer feed with Omega and the Scratch is like "crack" to them. LOL
As an experiment, I put Dumor and Purina side by side and the Purina was gone! The Dumors stayed untouched.
Therefore, Purina Name brand it is for me and my girls.
Use whatever works and makes you and your girls happy. Just watch the Protein percentage. Too much can harm them.
