On my way home tonight I noticed there was a rooster that had been dumped in the bottoms. I took a picture and tried to see how close I could get (not very.) He ran off to some thicker cover so I let him be. He appears to be a New Hampshire and he is big. The feet and shanks are a yellow color though it doesn't look it in the pic. He also appears to have some frostbite damage on his comb and wattles. I might go back tomorrow and take someone else to see if I can catch him if nothing gets him. So if he's not a New Hampshire what else could he be?

Yes, NHR.
Likely a poorly bred NHR or Oprington cross boy. I'd try to catch him as well if possible.
Bird has yellow shanks/skin.

I know in the picture they look white or pink but from the front my binoculars say they are yellow. He was pretty far out there and I didn't get a picture of him from the front.
Hmm. If you do manage to catch the poor guy, get leg pics...just so I can settle the mental debate I'm having. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference either way....they're probably yellow though, it would make more sense.

I agree with you that the legs don't look yellow, especially from that angle, but after I took the pic I went down to see if I could get closer to him and they are definitely yellow on the front. I can quarantine him if I can catch him and bring him home so we shall see soon.

I thought the same thing too when I first saw him "pink legs??"
*Edited to add last sentence.
