We have sand where i live....(like all sand.....i cannot even get grass to grow back from having septic replaced).....will i need to make a dust bath for my chickens or will they be ok?

You may want to update your profile with your location, so you're not asked "Where are you located"?
The area I live has clay soil, packs hard & muddy when wet ... I keep my girls confined in their Chicken House. The ground "was" hard so I toss shavings, they've really loosened up the clay & dust bath in that. I do sprinkle DE food grade monthly as a preventative. I'm sure your chickens will be fine with the sand, they'll pick where they want to dust bath.
