Dust Mites!!

Hi all, i am just wondering if anyone can help me..
I think my coop is infested with dust mites... i have treated it today with mite powder and also did the chickens too.
Right my question is?
Do i sweep out the powder before the chickens go to bed....or
Do i just leave it in and put some clean bedding in for them ..
I don't have a clue what to do?

I did my first mite treatment yesterday. I used a "livestock dust" that was recommended by the feed store. I noticed a few mites around the vent area so I got a plastic easter egg (the kind that splits in 2) and used half of it as a dust cup. I scooped out a little bit, held the hen with one hand, put the cup to the vent and dusted it. I also dusted under their wings and between their legs. I did a light sprinkleing in the coop, nest boxes and dust bath area. I don't know If i did it correctly or not...just winging it.

Yes i'm kind of winging it too...
i love my hens, and just want the best for them
