I am living away at college right now and came home several days ago to my parents house to find one of our chickens seemingly on her last days. She is probably around 10 years old at this point, and has been through quite a few near death experiences in the years that we've had her, but magically survived it all. She is very lethargic and having trouble walking, similar to when she has had fly strike in the past or when a hen is egg bound. She hasn't layed in years so I know it's not that, and I checked her vent and there doesn't seem to be any issues there. Her stomach seems to be quite high, and when I was watching her earlier she would occasionally stretch her head up and her stomach would move side to side, not her body but the pouch right below her neck. It was almost like she was going to throw up, but I don't think chickens do that. I searched all over the internet but cant seem to find anyone talking about this happening. I'm pretty sure there's nothing we can do to help her at this point, but im wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen, just want to make sure it's not an illness or something that can spread to the rest of our flock.
