Hello, I've bought my cochin bantam hen 3 months ago with health issues (she wasn't bought from a professional breeder). She is around 1,5 year old. There are no poultry vets where I live because people here just kill sick chickens.

I don't know for how long but she had some sort of ingrowth between her beak and cheek that is fully healed now and an ear infection(?) that looks like that:

And here is the healthy ear for comparision:

The sick one isn't covered with feathers and everyday I find some sort of dryed or half-dryed substance that either covers the ear like a cork or more often at the base of feathers around the ear. She has no trouble with balance, acts like a normal healthy hen, no laying problems, no internal/external parasites. Everyday I apply an anti-bacterial spray (Octedin) on the ear area and remove the dryed substancies.

Any ideas what is it and how to effectively cure it? I'm adding photos of her swollen ingrowth that we managed to heal just in case both problems were connected. Thank you in advance and sorry for my English, I'm still learning.

Is this the same hen that has the ear infection? It looks like she may have canker, that could be the cause of the infection as well. Look inside the beak to see if there are any sores or lesions.

For the ear - do you have any Hydrogen Peroxide? I would put 1-3 drops in the ear and let it bubble out what's in there - carefully try to remove all the discharge/pus that you can. If you have access to something like Neosporin or Bacitracin ointment, pack that into the ear. You may need to clean the ear daily.

The face does look swollen, it could be from respiratory illness or other infection that has not healed properly. She may need antibiotics for this to ever clear up - what do you have available?

I would also check her for external parasites (lice/mites).

Thank you for your answer! I'll try what you suggested. As for the swollen face, yes it's the same hen but we managed to heal it and now there is no trace of it outside/inside the beak. She has no lice/mites. This is how her face looks now:
