I wanted an EE, an OE, and two brown egg layers but was undecided other than thinking there really should be a red feathered one. Or maybe barred. I could NOT decide. I thought I would just check what the hatchery offered each week and order when they had both of the first two and two others that were appealing (as well as being good producers).
Week 2, they are hatching Welsummers.
That's it, a Wellie and a RIR and I will be happy. Unless I get there and they have leftovers from week 1 and then a barred rock might accidentally get added. I mean, I have willpower but I am not immune to chicken math.
Valentine's Day chicks. Not that there is ever a bad day to get chicks but that makes them extra special, I think
