The best way the cure bumble foot is to catch it early. The last 3 days this young B-Rock Pullet has slowly turned into limpy lame Polly.
If you wish to have a healthy flock, KNOW YOUR FLOCK.
Spend time, study behavior, look for little things that can become BIG things.

This Beautiful Bird is on the very edge of dropping her first egg. Months have gone by. Money has been spent. Time has been spent wisely as well.

Had no problem catching this fallen flock member since we have 2 healthy legs. Upon observation, we found a wound covered with fecal mud. We washed it out with a spray bottle with H/peroxide and found a splinter in the little lions paw.
Photo taken after the wound was poo washed out.

Dug out a super tiny splinter that almost felt like a piece of wire.
Cleaned out all of the wound down to cleanness.

Neosporin glob and gauze. Some rubber bands and to the pampered life for about a week or so.

CATCH IT EARLY! KNOW YOUR LIVESTOCK! Livestock is better than Lame stock. If we would have ignored or procrastinated, infection would have taken over fast...
Spend some time with your investment and the Reward of Breakfast will be plentiful!

I've never personally had a chicken with bumblefoot. I have always wondered why others do and I don't. I agree it's important to spend time observing you flock daily so you know what is normal and can pick out what isn't and tend to it quickly.
