Hello there! I've been doing quite a bit of gardening recently and I found a bunch of earthworms. So I collected them into a jar and was going to feed them to my girls when I thought about how gapeworm can be contracted. I was wondering if there's anyway to tell if an earthworm is a host to disease or parasites?

Earthworms are secondary hosts of capillary, gape and stomach worms. If you dissect the worm and look at all parts under a microscope of sufficient power to find the worms in the earthworm.
One worm may have them, others may not.

They're not diseases. They're internal parasites.
Most chickens free ranging or closely confined on bedding will have some.

Infectious disease will be bacterial, viral or fungal. Those aren't internal parasites like protozoa or helmintics.
