I would like advice on the East Indies breed and duck housing for bantams. Thanks.
DD & I have been raising chickens & pheasants for a couple-few years. I would like to get some ducks. Because we live in a neighborhood (on less than 2 acres), I was thinking that bantam ducks would be easier to house. I do not like to have any pet if it means I have to give it tiny accomodations. For instance, I have seen pairs of chickens kept in 30x24 rabbit cages and that is just not my style. Does anyone have photos of cages or enclosures for small ducks? I have seem pix of big 20'x20' aviaries for standard size ducks. Cant' do that. I do have room for something 8'x6' or so. We are not the handiest crew, so a simple plan is a must. Also, I live in Michigan, so I must be conscious of keeping my animals warm enough in winter.
Another thing: Anyone have any advice of East Indies? I have a chance to buy a pair.
