These are eggs laid by our Easter Egger. They are all a little different in color than the last one laid. Is this possible? I've always heard that they are the exact same color...
No, there will be some color variation, depending on where she is in her laying cycle, and if the egg lingers longer in the duct, you'll see more of a brown wash which will produce more olive color. If you'll also notice, the size is different, while the overall shape is the same. One of my EE lays an egg that is very long and torpedo shaped, but the color and size will vary a bit.
