I have a pullet who at 5 week had a comb just around that size and it was slightly lighter colored. It turned out to be a pullet so hopefully your chick is a pullet as well.

My guess would be male but it's a bit early.

This was my 6 week old EE who ended up being a cockerel. He had the same amount of comb and color it looks like yours has when he was that age. If it is a male are you gonna keep him?
