I have this Easter Egger who is really throwing me off. I bought it from a local breeder and it’s an F1 cross between a Maran and Ameraucana. Right now it’s about 4-5 months old (hatch date of 3/30). The comb development had me convinced it was female but now I think I’m starting to see saddle feathers. It acts nothing like a rooster though. It is my flightiest bird and is the first to run away from anything “scary”, no crowing while my bantam rooster is starting to crow, and has a tiny comb and wattles. I’m not sure if it’s just molting and the feathers are looking this way or what is going on with this bird. Any help is appreciated.
