Cockerel because of his tail feathers

The females tail go up his go straight out

Not because of tail feathers. The amount of color and size to his comb/wattles, the rust color across his wings, and I believe I see pointed saddle feathers coming in.

Ok thanks for the info and I have always gone by tail feathers so far and guessed all 7 of mine right by that but it maybe was luck!
