Pattern color and that comb! My female EEs are almost 17 weeks and they barely have any comb growth and they are as pale as can be. He is handsome!

Yes, that is your crower! Male EE's have very blotchy colour patterns usually in comparison the females - and those red shoulder patches are telling, along with the size and colour of the comb (the latter can fool people who have never had pea-combed birds before, as it doesn't grow large and fast like the ones on single-combed cockerels would).

Well darn it! I have 6,6 week old EE's from Cackle and all of a sudden one started getting this color of feathering in. My gut said boy, my heart said NO. But he is starting to look extremely close to yours.
