My 4 and a half month old girls are already laying and their eggs are tiny....is this normal?

Greetings from Kansas and :welcome. Pleased you joined our community! Yes, it's absolutely normal for those eggs to be small. They will slowly get larger in the weeks and months to come. Often times pullet eggs almost become super sized before they settle in and start laying a more uniform egg through their laying life. Don't worry - the tiny ones are just as tasty as the normal sized ones. Good luck to you and your hens.

Hi and welcome to BYC! As redsoxs said, pullets start out laying eggs that are smaller (and sometimes oddly shaped) and then they get larger as they get older. Enjoy the fresh eggs and thanks for joining us!
