I bought "ameraucana" chicks at the co-op over 4 weeks ago, making them about 4.5 weeks old. I am pretty sure after reading a lot about ameraucanas that these are probably easter eggers (which I am fine with) but I would love to know if anyone can sex these for me? I am thinking that one is definitely a roo. but would love the experts to weigh in. Or are these even Easter Eggers?
Thanks a bunch! These chicks are super cute!

Is her beak REALLY LONG? It seems long to me?

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!

Yes, they look like Easter Eggers.

#1 and 2 seem like pullets to me, but 4.5 weeks is a little early for sexing, we typically sex at around 8 weeks old (if you want you can repost again at that age, just to be sure).

About #4's beak, you are correct. It looks incredibility long! Perhaps you could file it down a little (be careful not to file it too much, it can start bleeding! Does her beak seem to be affecting her eating/drinking?

I will definitely repost at 8 weeks! The one with the long beak doesn’t seem to have any problems as of yet. I am keeping a close eye on her. I would be terribly afraid to file it .
