Somehow I ended up with an extra dozen+ Black Copper Marans that will be 5-6 days old this Saturday (left the egg carton hidden behind the rest). Anyways, if anyone wants these little boogers, they're $25 for the dozen (and some extra fresh ones) + $15 shipping! This is about the lowest I'll go

It appears my hatch rates still tend to be high, so if you want 'em! Let me know!

She's in Kansas. I too have some of her eggs in my bator, and of the 36 that are in there, only one is clear. 35 have something in them. They go on lockdown on the 6th and are set to hatch the 9th. I can't wait!!!!! I'm gonna get more eggs from her too very soon. I can't wait!

I have to ask, what kind of chick is that in your Avatar? Cochin, right? What color is it? I have a Cochin chick in my brooder right now that looks just like the one in your avatar, and is feathering in white and gray, but I'm unsure who it's parents are at this point as all my cochins are housed together. I'm curious to know if maybe it's the same as your avatar chick.

My cochin is all Black...she is my broody that goes broody all the time...

It is a standard black cochin chick from our school farm!

Interesting, cause to look at the chick, my chick looks just like yours, except it's feathering in white and gray, not black, and my black chick is much darker that your little avatar guy, but is definitely a black because his wings are almost completely in and are black with a strip of white right at the edges. I don't know if there is that much color difference between standard and bantam. Should be interesting to see my chick's final color though!
