I have a four day old ee/barred rock chick from a godawful hatch (thermometer was 16 degrees off. Total nightmare).
All my chicks have issues-bantam sized chicks (i dont own banties), crooked toes (i now fancy myself a chicken podiatrist)....just bad. Well-this one wont stand. Just hunches. And screams. Lethargic. Eats, drinks, and poops fine but squawks all day and falls over like a turtle.
We have vitamins in the water, no physical issues or injuries, the brooder is balmy and the other five chicks be-bop along quite happily. Right now the easter rock is sitting on my boot, asleep in front of a space heater (and im dripping sweat.)
Aside from carrying this fuzzball in my pocket all day (which isn going to happen just in caseits a roo-we are eating the roos and i dont want to bond), what can i do?
