easy egg nog ice cream

this is seriously easy! Made it today. Wasn't sure if it was going to work, but, dang, sure did! I used it with my kitchenaide ice cream maker, but it should work with any ice cream maker.


Filled my ice cream maker nearly half way with egg nog.
Added 1 cup of heavy cream
fresh ground nutmeg to taste.

spin until it is the consistancy you like (took about 40 minutes)
Total prep time: under a minute

Will double in bulk, so fair warning!
Topped bowls of this off with crushed ginger snaps.

Took half of it over to friends whom are firefighters. They will be giving me the ingredients to stock their freezer.

Next time I'm going to experiment with pumpkin in it and add ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon.

YUM!!!

It sounds soooo good, but I don't have an icecream maker, and my hens aren't laying right now so I don't have eggs to make eggnog

That sound soo good! What do you store it in for the freezer, and does it get hard? I had an ice cream maker (might still... couldn't find it after multiple moves!) and would make pumpkin custard in it, but it froze rock hard.
