Easy Nesting Box

I am always on the look out for easy and inexpensive nesting boxes. I found these baskets at Dollar General. I simply cut an opening in each one and then placed one on top of the other and fastened with zip ties. It is big enough for a standard hen, is stackable and will allow nice air flow for any hen that decides to brood eggs.

Yes, I know the opening is not straight, The knife slipped but the chickens don't mind.

Cool idea!! I have used the covered kitty litter boxes , they work pretty well too

Bryant AL is about 5 miles from Trenton GA. Right off I 59. I live across the street from the GA/ Al state line. The TN State line is about 12 mile from here.
