We had a very special duckling named Pat. He was about a month or so old. This morning around 7 am I saw him on the porch as usual, said good morning and continued to take the trash out. Around 10 he was seen in the yard happily.

By afternoon, there was no sign of Pat. He usually comes running when called, but he was nowhere to be found.

At about 2-3PM I went out back and found only organs (lungs, maybe heart?, all intestines, a pelvis bone and maybe a leg bone, and what I believe to be his tail. No loose feathers anywhere (though he still had mostly fuzz) no feet, no body, no head.

What kind of animal would eat a duckling in this style?

Pictures of Pat included, because he was so loved.

Sorry you lost you duck.
That's a strange kill, I would say maybe a fox or cat though both would eat most of the organs. The only things usually left behind from my cats kills is head legs, wings, large skeletal parts and gall bladder.
I'm inclined to think it's bigger than a cat, like a fox or coon.
