eating off their own plates

Now that I have some little chicks that have hatched over the last couple days, how do I feed them the medicated chick started without the 2 hens eating it? Is is ok for the ladies to eat it or should I come up with some way for only the babies to be able to get at it? The feed store folks suggested I remove the babies from the mom, but I really don't want to do that Any suggestions for this newbie will be greatly appreciated

If you are keeping the mom and babies together, I don't know of a way.

How about using UNmedicated starter? That way you can be sure that the feed won't hurt mom. I'm not sure if adults should get the medicated starter or not, especially if she starts laying again soon.
