I've been experimenting with taking away my Cornish X's food at night. Since I've been doing it, I've noticed that the thick mat of poo isn't covering the grass as it did when I fed them all night. Since I'm pretty sure they haven't stopped pooing, nor are they cleaning up after themselves, that only leaves one place it might be going. To me, this seems like a logical fasttrack to Cocci- any thoughts, or other experiences with this issue?

Also, my dogs love to eat chicken poo- will Cocci or anything else in it harm them? "Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens" seems to indicated that although there are different forms in different animals, Cocci doesn't pass between species, but I wasn't sure.

My dog follows the chickens around the yard and eats all my fertilizer......She doesn't seem to be affected by it.

I swear, chicken poo is like doggy cocane! Every dog I have ever seen in my yard goes crazy over the stuff and just can't get enough.
