Eatting and Drinking: Help!

okay so my new duckling is about 16 hours old and I'm wondering (for future refrence) how do I teach the duckling to eat and drink. He seems to peck at the food and water, but he never swallows it?

Any advice?

Water and ducks come naturally. LOL I think if you give it a few more hours you will see it drinking. I had more than one duck at a time and never had that problem. That is why I am thinking it will eat/drink on it's own in due time. If not someone on here will jump on and help you.
