eatting shavings

so I cleaned out the brooder of our 3wk old chix yesterday putting in all nice fresh pine shavings good and thick and this morning its almost all gone!!! all I can think is they ATE IT ALL!!! they have plenty of food.

note: this is not the first time Ive cleaned them out I do it every couple days but this is the first time they ate the shavings, what gives???

HUH Very strange for them to eat THAT MUCH! WOW I sure hope they are ok. Mine will eat some here and there but not much at all.

it all seems to be there tonight. really really strange. they all seem to be behaving normal, normally they scratch around in it but they dont eat it and certainly not 90% if it!
