Different lines of the same breed may have different traits, but in my experience in large fowl, cornish can lay a very round egg, cochins more narrow and pointy.

The feathered legs tell you there is cochin involved. If it has a single comb, possibly pure cochin. If it has a pea comb of sorts, there is probably cornish blood in play as well. The light color favors the pure cochin camp, if that is an option.

i never had cornish but when i first seen the eggs they did not look like what i had in my mind, they are large in size and and maybe a brick brown color

If your seller was from NY I think we have the same problem. Both of the chicks that have hatched so far have leg feathers. I have one more in the incubator that hasn't hatched yet. I would be interested to know if you had any hatch that were dark cornish. Thanks!

(ny yes) i only had one to hatch but i opened all the eggs that did not hatch (total of 4 eggs that grew)and they was one dark colored chick with no leg feathers, 2 yellow + 1 that hatched = 3 cochin and 1 cornish, the seller said they will send me some more eggs and was sorry the cochin eggs was in with them and they fixed the problem
