Ebay "Delawares"

Of the 2 dozen eggs I got (half from New Jersey, half from Georgia), 5 chicks hatched. Of the 3 that I kept (2 went to the lady who hatched the eggs) 1 has yellow legs, 1 has GREEN legs, and the last has WHITE legs. Just an FYI if you are looking for hatching eggs on Ebay.

I feel your pain...lol. I got Dels shipped from Kansas from Ebay, and one hatched out tiny and with feathered legs. The egg looked like the other Del eggs, but I think a bantie booted roo must have got in the henhouse.

I sent an email to the vender but haven't heard back yet.

I do think you will find even the hatcheries are not selling proper Delawares and many people dont know one when they see one. If the ebay sellers have hatchery birds, they are only propagating the same faults their own birds have, unfortunately.
