She's an Easter Egger. There are certain color patterns that are pretty much male or female specific. Eventually male specific feathering will appear and greater comb development in the cockerels. EE and Ameraucanas can be tricky until somewhat more mature.
With Easter Eggers (it's less likely to work with Ameraucanas) you can generally tell sex by colouration. Males have darker, often red, shoulders. Females are duller colored, and obviously, their combs aren't as red. It's best to wait for hackle feathering to come in (12-15 weeks) before you can say for absolute certain what sex an EE is (unless, of course, they have bright red shoulders or a comb that looks like Rudolph's nose.)
I personally would like a better picture of that comb before I try and judge your chick's sex.
She’s very skidish so it’s hard to get a good picture of her/him. I am new to EE/Ameraucanas so I’m learning right now. These were sold to me as Ameraucanas but I have learned they are probably EE, which I’m fine with. I think they are gorgeous birds. I just love the coloring on this one.
