I've raised EE many times and dh and I are getting pretty good at guessing but we have 5 - 2 week old Easter Eggers and we think that 4 will be roo's and only 1 pullet. I have several pic of only 2. Can you tell? Thanks. sue

These guys are too young yet to tell for sure. I'd give it another few weeks. By five weeks is when I start to get strong suspicions, but EEs can be tricky!

Thanks. I'll try to be patient for a few more weeks. 4 of them look a lot different than the 5th. Since the one we think is a pullet is all white and we bought them from Tractor Supply, it's possible that it's not even an EE. They were marked Americauna but I've raised them for enough years that I knew EE. Yesterday I was at TS and they were selling Auracana and were labeled that they would lay brown eggs. I must have been in a mood because I argued with them and had them look them up to prove if they were truly Auracana's that they would lay a blue egg. I suckered in to buying 6 to prove them right or wrong. They were all nice but how many people on BYC print that they own Auracana's because that was what they were sold only to find out that they are EE's. Off my soap box. I get back to you all again in a few weeks. Thanks again. sue

I can't really tell if the top chick has a beard, but it looks EEish to me. The yellow one definitely looks like it has a beard so I'm willing to bet it will lay colored eggs. It's got some pretty big legs for a lady though! (The white and black can be trickiest because you don't get different colors for the roosters and the hens!)

Sorry, it's been so long for me to follow through with my original request. It looks like I'll end up with 4 hens and 1 roo.
above - hen

The one above is the roo, he even crows to prove me right.

The white ones in the background were supposed to be Auracana's I told the seller that they weren't. So, I bought a few and it's apparent that they are not. I believe they are a cross between an EE and a white leghorn or rock. I'll keep 1 to see the egg color. They are either all hens in waiting or late in showing signs.
