Ok I have looked at tons of pics on the breeds list and other places and I still havn't figured out if she is an EE or an americauna? Her feet are dark green and she lays a big beautiful blue/green egg .

I find this subject fascinating. I just read that if we get our "ameraucana" from a hatchery, they are probably EEs. The article also said that ameraucanas lays blue eggs. Our farm supply store sold them as ameraucana but my sweet, gentle bird lays a light army green egg. She is obviously an EE.

We need an expert to clarify this subject!

Don't be fooled if your hen lays a blue egg. That does not make her an ameraucana.

Like many others have said, if you have to ask then it's an EE. In my flock of EE's I have 3 that look almost exactly like her!

Yeah that's not really fair that they sell them as ameracauna's and their not! I just got four from a feed store and they were greenish with brown around their neck and green feet I have had them before and they do lay a blue egg. To me the one's from the hatcheries look like alot of game hens I have seen in the past but they have green feet( just an observation of mine ).

Sadly that is some very true, good advice - If you have to ask: It is an EE.

Our americauna lays green eggs.

Also, if the name is spelled wrong - They're Easter Eggers. Green is a common EE egg color, too. In Ameraucanas, green is an undesired color but can pop up in a minty form.
