My EE just finished one of her first big ish molts. We got her back in either March ish or later. Somewhere around then. She stopped laying for a bit and she just started 3 days ago. Thats when I started noticing white eggs. She used to lay a salmon pink ish color. Whats going on???? Arent EE not supposed to lay white?????

I can't say for sure what might have caused the change in color, part of me wants to say maybe she just 'ran out of ink'! Easter Eggers can lay any egg color, because they're not a pure breed (or really a breed at all). Are you CERTAIN it's her who laid the white egg?

That's what I was thinking. I wonder if the color may come back once she's gotten back into the laying groove, but I have no idea.

Most "pink" eggs are tinted which are the same as brown eggs, white shell + pigment. If for any reason she's not applying the pigment in the last stages the egg could appear white.
Bloom/calcium can also effect egg colour, if she's applying a thick layer that could also change the appearance of the egg, with these getting them damp usually reveals the true colour. If you can absolutely rule out another hen laying the eggs then the above may give some explanation

Turns out it was my green laying EE they are slowly coming back to turning pink and hopeful return to green. One cause could be that she either molting or being pecked on her head. She lays mostly everyday so she could be running out of ink

I have my pink egg from my EE and my brown egg from my BR and my other EE was laying in the nesting box so she layer in the other one. It’s definitely my green EE

That's odd because green on the other hand can't change to white or pink since green is blue shell + pigment so they would turn blue. the only whitish looking green egg I have seen was due to a thick bloom
Ok, why would she have a thick bloom? Is that bad???
