Is it normal for chickens to smell in the winter? I had chickens last summer but sadly Mr Fox got them all. Shortly after this my neighbour got some chickens too but his smell! Really bad!
Is this just because the earth is damp and their run is stationary? Will it get better or worse over the spring/summer?
Is it normal for this time of year?
I'm planning on getting some more in the next few weeks but I'm worried that if it's normal for them to smell then the combined smell may upset the other neighbours.
Mine never smelt in the summer? And it was a pretty damp summer...!
