EEs losing beards?

Hi all! Not sure if this the right place to start this thread but here goes

I have 2 Easter Eggers, approximately a year old, that lost their beards a month or two ago with very minimal re-growth. Is this common for the breed? None of my other hens are having feather loss issues, and everyone is on a feed with 18% protein.

My EE rooster lost his beard randomly last summer too. I don't know why but for my guy it grew back in a few weeks with no help from me.
