I was coming out of the store restroom and I normally will stomp down the trash so it doesn't end up on the floor. Just as I was about to do that I saw a cup in the trash and it was one co-workers spit cup!
Yes it had spit in it!

I cornered this person and told them to dump it outside and not to put it in the trash can in there again.
I was not a nice person at that moment.

It is so gross just seeing this person put it in their mouth that I texted DS and told him to never start such a nasty habit.

I'm just glad I saw it before I stomped the trash. Where it was sitting I could have gotten it all over my shoe.

Wait a minute, you are upset because this person used the trash can for trash? Maybe I missed something in your post. On another note, please be careful when pushing the trash down, there could be anything from broken glass to discarded needles to who knows what!

That is why I use my foot. I worked as a maid years ago.

What you missed was it was a styrafoam coffee cup with this person tobacco spit in it. No lid!
It is a small 4 gallon garbage can.
If it was in an empty pop bottle with a lid, no problem; still gross though.
Even the store owner said that was disgusting.

Why should the person who hauls out the trash have to haul out his spit cup? There is a dumpster out back.
My ex-brother in law chewed and left 23 empty cans in my car plus several bottles half full of his spit in the back seat. I had to clean it up. So you can see where I get this "haul your own spit out" attitude. He had my car for 3 weeks.

Not only a vile habit but potentially dangerous as this was the way TB spread and it is on the increase again. Can people not spit discretely into a tissue and then flush it away?

Ok, now I understand. Not being a smoker or a chewer my first thought was that they had just spit into it! Egg on my face, eh?
