There is tons of information on here, so I'm sure you'll find answers to all your questions.

These are the prices I've seen:
Backyard eggs: 3.-4.$ (most people undercharge and don't really make much money)
Pastured or non GMO eggs: 5.$
Organic eggs: 6.-7.$

Hope this helps!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Prices really vary by area, you might check Craigslist in your area to see what farm eggs are going for.

What is a good price to sell eggs for? I give them away to family, but now friends are asking to buy some.

The best price is what ever your market will allow. In some areas, there are so many selling eggs that they couldn't expect to get more than $2 a dozen yet in others, people are selling for $4. Just check your local craigslist, newspapers and farmer's markets for some general pricing for your area.

I sell my organically fed hen eggs for $5.00 a dozen. I'm competing with trader Joe's organic eggs at about $4.79/ doz. Of coarse I have dark chocolate, green, olive, biege and white eggs! :) so Mine are much prettier!

:welcome

You are very fortunate. I'm getting $3 but that is the most that the market here will support. There are quite a few folks selling for $2 which makes it even harder to sell for more. I too have a very colorful basket when I come in from collecting each day and to be honest, I've lost some sells because they were not just brown or just white.
