Egg Blockage? Help!

Hello Everyone,
Decided to post a picture of one of our chickens. We are concerned. One of our EE has been puffed up like this for two to three days now, shakes her head, and is now closing her eyes. She usually lays an egg every other day. She hasn't laid an egg in about three days now. What do you guys think? How do I know if she has an egg backed up inside? Could this be something else? Any advice with this? Help?!

She could be eggbound or an internal layer. She could also have cocci, or something else. If she is eggbound you will probably feel an egg shaped bulge near her vent.

Thank you! Now that I've done some research on cocci I believe this is what she has. Will this wipe out the whole flock? We will need to get some corid it seems.

Treat everyone in the water with corrid or sulfadimethoxine. If you want to feel for an egg, it takes an oiled finger for an exam.

The sulfa is considered rougher on their intestinal tract, but cocci need to be treated pretty promptly so you'll want to use what you can get.
