Egg bound, broken egg inside?? Update #2 YEAH!!!!!!!

I just checked her again. She had layed a second soft shelled egg. Both are a runny mess. Sure hope this is the end of the eggs tonight! She layed her last normal egg last Saturday.

Mine started laying these eggs as they went into a molt. Now no eggs of any kind for a week or so. I hope their bodies are resting and recouping.

That sounds good and healthy. Hopefully it's just a wrench in her system and it'll work itself out. Like the other person said, could she maybe be about to molt? (around 18 months old)

I had a little Seabrite that was eggboung this summer, she was not tame at all but I brought her in and put her in a tub of warm water. I could feel the egg in the body cavity and she was so miserable. I used lots of unscented lotion as that was all I had and manipulated the egg out intact, cleaned her up, dried her off and used prep-H. It was all I could think of at the time. Anyway she is just fine but I took her off the laymash so she had time to heal. I dont know if my actions were right but they worked. Hope everything turns out well. Good Luck

She's 8 months old. I don't think she is close to molting. She's also better this morning. At least she seems to feel better. I'm thinking about putting her in the coop and letting her out of the carrier and see how she moves around and eats/drinks.
