My poor chicken i think is egg bound what do i do . can any one help me please she is a black orpington Gail

Try to get her to eat layer mash with cooked oatmeal a ground up TUMS (for calcium)...I added fruit to get mine to eat this. Also get her warm a hand towel wet in ziplock bag then nuke in microwave until warm but not real hot for her to lay on may help...mine seemed more comfortable at least.

If you google Egg Bound Hen Remedy there are lots of things you can try. There was a thread on her a while back where the egg was "surgically" removed. Maybe someone can find that one for you.
