Hello,

Last year we sadly had a chicken pass from egg yolk peritonitis. We currently have a chicken who is in the run just squatting and sleeping. She won't eat much or drink. She's not in the penguin stance and doesn't have labored breathing and she has a sort of lump on her chest. We think she's egg bound because she hasn't laid in a long time, and she was in the box trying to lay last night. How can we help her? It is quite cold here so we didn't want to do a bath in case that messes up her internal temp. I cant figure out how to insert a picture otherwise i would, she is sort of asymmetrically distributed with a lump on the side.

I think i figured how to attach a pic

When was her last egg?

Often when a hen is having reproductive issues, their crop and digestive system will slow down.
You can try treating the crop symptoms to see if it helps her, but do be aware if she's got something else going on, then you may not be completely successful.

Where are you located in the world?
A photo of her poop may be helpful.

If it's really cold and she's still very unwell, moving her to a warmer area like a garage that is cool may be helpful. Sick chickens struggle to stay warm.

I'd make sure she's drinking, you can make feed available to her during waking hours (wet or dry feed), bits of soft food like cooked egg as well.
I'd give her 1tsp coconut oil twice a day and as mentioned on another post of yours, give her Miconazole or Clotrimazole twice a day.

Work on that and read through this article, it's what I follow when treating my own girls.
Keep us posted and if you have updated photos you wish to share, that would be good too.

Her last egg was before Christmas when she got her yeast infection. We have been giving her our previous hen's antibiotics, the one who passed away from egg yolk peritonitis, for almost a week. We also started giving her 1mL of epsom salt in water solution 3x a day, and her crop looks alot better from yesterday, it shrank alot but there still seems to be fluid in there.
Her poop is green with black pellet-like things in it, but we think that could be from the antibiotics. Last night she threw up on me, my mom thought it looked yellow but I thought it looked green.
We are going to try the Miconazole later today, thank you so much for this advice! She has been drinking water I believe and eating. We gave her eggs yesterday too.

Green poop with black pellet like things sounds like a blockage, hopefully the epsom salts flush will help move the material on out. Do make sure she's getting plenty of fresh plain water in between flushes, the salts are very dehydrating.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

based on what you said we decided not to do epsom salt flushes today, so she can have a chance to hydrate up. Her comb doesn't look dehydrated thankfully, it looks nice and red. If the crop looks bad tomorrow we'll return to the flushes but for now it looks normal size! We started yeast cream, and we're finishing her course of antibiotics for the potential egg yolk peritonitis she had (still not sure on that diagnosis but we started her on those a week ago because she was really sick, and it's what killed our last Isa Brown so we didn't want to chance it). She's been active today so far! Thank you :)

If you have given the flush for 3X a day for a few days and the crop is still not emptying overnight, then the flush is not going to make a difference.

I highly recommend that you read the article and the comments in the article below.
Do keep in mind that often a crop that is slow or not emptying overnight is a Symptom of an underlying condition.

We started the flush Thursday and Friday morning into Saturday it looked amazing! She is doing well now. We are giving her yeast cream still for a bit, but we stopped the flushes because the crop is normal size and she is back to normal! Thank you so much!
