Egg bound polish, laid egg but still has ascitis

Yesterday i had an almost 1 yr old polish hen become egg bound. She had been laying about a month now. The day before she had laid just perfectly. Anyway, yesterday I gave her two 1 ml doses of nutri drench about 5 hours apart. She did wind up laying her egg. But she still has a bit of ascitis. Is this normal? How long will it take to dissipate? Should i continue with calcium treatments? I went to get calcium gluconate 23% yesterday afternoon, and when i got back she was in the nest box trying to lay, so i did not administer any of the gluconate. Should i treat with that today?

Ascites is fluid trapped in the peritoneal cavity. It doesn't dissipate; it must be drained. Are you sure that that's what you have? Can you take a picture of her belly and of her walking?

She's moving around fine, living life as normal.
It's the standard case of ascitis, vent feathers dropped, squishy belly. It's not very large, about half the size of yesterday. She is pooping, drinking, eating, grazing, even running.
