Hello! I’ve got a 21 week old Wyandotte who has been acting different for the past two days and today is considerably worse.
Two days ago I noticed her separated from the rest of the flock and panting. It’s been hot (80s) here so I thought she was just overheating (even though no other chicken was doing this...). I went over to try and pick her up and she ran and flew away from me like she usually was so I assumed she was fine.
Yesterday, she was doing the same thing. Panting and isolating herself. Her breathing almost appeared labored and her tail seemed to bob up and down.
And today, she was easily caught. Her symptoms were the same as yesterday except she was laying down. I included a YouTube video for a better description!
I’m honestly at a loss as to what is happening and what to do about it. An extra setback is that we are literally in the middle of moving and have no place to keep her except in the chicken coop! Any help is appreciated!!
