I had my first quail eggs laid..I found an egg when I got up this morning, and I found one this evening.

I am not sure if it came from 2 different birds..both looked to have had some changes in their cloacas but I am inexperienced in knowing for sure..

Can you determine by egg patterns?

Each hen does have it's own pattern. It's not going to be exactly the same every time, but from the looks of those, they are from two different hens.
I wasn't sure if they were different because they were her first eggs, or because the other hen laid it.. she is a British range and can't be feather sexed..

Usually hens lay one a day, at least to start with, so I'm guessing you have two hens. By pattern, they look awfully similar to me though.
I am not positive that the eggs weren't from 2 days..I checked them late at night.. but only saw the egg in the morning..

No eggs yet today, but I am trying to see if my Rosetta is female..

Thank you for your help.

Those look like eggs from 2 different birds. One has a more red/brown with less speckles and one is more black/brown with more speckles.
I only had one egg today, looks like the black/brown egg..

I love collecting eggs..lol
