tomorrow will be day 7 in the bater. Tomorrow will be day 7. most of my eggs are very dark brown. I have some tan ones and ee's, and one leg horn. I heard that I can candle at day 7 should I see the veins then? As for now with the leghorn (white egg) I see a dark circle in the middle. No veins or anything.
When should I really candle?

On white/light eggs, you should see something on day 7. On darker eggs, might want to wait until day 10 (although I'd be hesitant to make a descision on them before day 14.. just in case).

Good luck! I LOVE candling.. actually, the hardest part for me is NOT candling..

I don't toss anything until day 14.

If it's a dark green or brown egg and I can't see inside well enough I leave it in the bator unless I see signs it is bad such as weeping, cracking , smelling...

Good luck !!!

Hi.

I'm on my very first ever batch of eggs, now day 11 in the incubator.
I couldn't see anything on day 7 either.
Today managed to see veins in one, lots of dark areas in the others. The wait is unbareable.
I'm gonna try in the dark again later.
Good luck and give them time, it's so hard to be patient.
