Our chickens lay alot of extra large eggs, some even Jumbo double yokers. Also, alot of our eggs are more round than oval and do not fit very well in a standard large egg carton because the small end cannot be pushed down enough to make contact with the bottom of the egg carton. We are selling our eggs and have in the past asked for egg cartons but they barely close and some eggs are just too large to close (so we keep those).

Our local feed stores only sell large egg cartons. I have been looking online at several websites but figured I could get some advice on my cheapest options! It doesn't matter if they are cheaply made and a one time use because I am no longer going to ask for cartons back.

The round eggs we get are mostly 70-75 grams, but some are up to 80 grams. Would the extra large cartons work for those 70-75 grams?? I am thinking about going to buy some extra large eggs a the store just to see if they do! Thanks!

First :welcome I use the jumbo egg cartons. My customers bring cartons. I have a huge trash can by my egg cooler and they drop the cartons off and put them in it when they get their eggs. I weigh all of my eggs. My largest egg was 135 grams. It was an egg inside an egg and both eggs had double yolks.

I bought over a hundred X large cartons on Amazon and most of my eggs are jumbo 71/77 grams, 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 oz and some don't fit. I need to buy jumbo cartons. 20160906_102937.jpg GC
