Egg Cartons?

Does any one know where I can buy Egg cartons. I am starting to go to a farmers market and I would like to sell my eggs, But I don't have any egg cartons. Anybody have a suggestion?

A lot of people recommend eggcartons.com like RAREROO suggested. I have found my best source is the feed store. Only a couple cents more than on-line and no labels.

I used to bribe the checkers at the grocery with eggs in exchange for free cartons. Unfortunately that store closed.

On that note, I went through eggcartons.com since my feed store is not egg carton-price friendly. But, I get friends to give us their old cartons for free eggs to family members and household use. That way, the ones I buy are reserved just for egg sales.

Also, if you have regular customers, maybe you can make them a deal that you will discount a few cent off of their eggs if they will return the empty cartons the next time they buy.

I should probably add that I only have 4 hens, so I'm just giving a dozen or two away a week. Even a few cents per carton makes a difference if you have to buy lots.

I did notice the other day that Tractor Supply is now selling them!! I have no clue what there asking for them!!

I got the best price from www.eggcartons.com

For those I am close to, like family, I reuse old cartons, but sales get new one. If they bring them back for a refill, they get a .50 discount.

I get the preprinted, generic cartons from eggcartons.com. I also bought date and grade stamps from them. I bought a custom, three-line stamp from an online stamp company with our business name, address and organic certification info that I stamp the cartons with. They look very professional.

Some in our area use the generic printed cartons and then put small printed labels with the required info and hand write the dates, but I figured that would be another ongoing cost for the labels, plus the time it takes to print them. The stamps and ink that I bought were a one time purchase that I figure will last for tens of thousands of cartons. (We are selling 200-300 dozen a month).

Order a few cartons now, but don't go overboard. If you sign up for the eggcartons.com mailing list they will notify you when they have specials. Sometimes they have 20% off, sometimes they have free shipping. The free shipping offer is great, since shipping normally adds 50% to our cost for the cartons.
