Egg color?

Does anyone know what the offspring egg color will be between a white silkie rooster and an easter egger? Id like to get another chicken that lays blue eggs and I was wondering if thats what they would produce. Thanks!!

Depends on what the Easter Egger lays. Silkies usually lay light brown/cream eggs. If the Easter Egger lays a shade of blue, odds are good for getting blue/green eggs from the chicks. If the Easter Egger lays green, you may get green or a shade of brown. If the Easter Egger doesn't lay a shade of blue or green, than there is no blue eggshell gene to be inherited.
