Does diet effect egg color? For instance, do Araucanas lay bright blue eggs when they free range and will these eggs turn more of a green tone if the birds are fed a manufactured diet?

Generally speaking, diet won't affect the shell color, but it will affect the color of the yolk. On the olive egger thread, there are those who have varying egg colors from a single girl which some attribute to the bloom(cuticle), but I haven't noticed that with any of my other EEs . They all lay a single color, fwiw. Although I'm pretty sure my one olive egg layer adds some speckles to hers every now and then.

There are those, too, that will tell you a shell color will never, ever change. Fwiw; ymmv.
